A passenger with spiky pink hair walks up to Trev
Punk: Hey, you're in my seat.
Trev: [Wakes up] Oh, sorry. I'll move over.
Punk: Hi, my name's Slime. I'm into punk music. [puts on loud headphones]
Trev: Do you mind turning that down? I'm trying to sleep.
Punk: [Ignores Trev] Punk music sounds best when it's loud and fast. [starts singing]
Trev: I guess I won't get to sleep now.
Punk: [Singing] “Suit and tie guy, suit and tie guy, you're a suit and tie guy!”
Trev: What's wrong with your lips?
Punk: Huh? Oh, I got ’em pierced.

★ passenger (n.) 乘客
★ spiky (a.)
you're in my seat (v.)
★ punk (n.,a.)
★ headphones (n.)
★ ignore (v.)
★ pierce (v.)

Be diligent about attending things like orientation. It might seem like a drag, particularly when you are tired and don't know anyone, but it will be worth it in the long run. Prepare a list of questions before you go to orientation or welcome functions so that you don't forget to ask for information you need. Ask to be put in touch with other students from your country or who speak your language.
