Tom:
I'm sure you've seen the difference here. Even the words are different.
Rob: What do you mean?
Tom: One is called “daojiao”, for religion, and the other is "daojiao", the philosophy.
Rob: How interesting. What about for Buddhism and Confucianism?
Tom: Confucianism isn't really a religion, even though there are temples.
Rob: I guess all great people are put into temples over here. But there's a ceremony for him, right?
Tom: Even though he was a philosopher, he did always advocate the importance of ritual.

★ ceremony (n.)
★ advocate (v.) 提倡
★ ritual (n.) 仪式

Amazingly Borglum's blasters were so talented that they could come within four inches of the finished surface with their explosions. To take a mountain like this back in the early '30s, to be able to carve the faces and make them so natural with the equipment that we had to work with was just incredible that a man could have a vision to do it.
