That night at Hohuan Mountain Hostel
Dan: Why'd you want to leave 1 all of a sudden, Morley?
Morley: I don't know. I think A-bing really scared me. I kept thinking, "He'll cut off my head; he'll cut off my head!"
Dan: Hah! Give me a break. The Atayal don't do that anymore. That was something they did to protect themselves.
Morley: I know, but...
Dan: You tripped out, man. We'll head back that way tomorrow and watch the dances before heading back to Taipei.

★ protect (v.) 保护
★ trip out 疯了。

If things are getting on top of you, choose an exercise routine that releases tension in the body. Try a stretch class. Lengthening your muscles is a great way to relieve stored-up physical and emotional tension. Stretching also makes the body more supple, which reduces the risk of injury during activity.
